Evangelism meetings are some of the most fruitful ones that Evangelism Training International has conducted. The people encountered in these countries are among the most loving, open hearted people that our trainers have encountered. Evangelicals in the Caribbean may sound like an odd term to ministries and churches in North America but there are many evangelism opportunities in more than one nation located in the Caribbean. It surprises many when they go on their first mission trip to one of the twenty-five countries of the Caribbean when they encounter the open arms attitude of the people who live in these countries.
By now you likely are wondering how Evangelism Training International becomes involved in the countries of the Caribbean so let’s take a short look at the process. Evangelism leaders in these countries realize how limited their own training is in regards to evangelism and it’s even more limited when it comes to training their congregations. So they contact an organization like ours to see if an evangelism leadership summit comprised of local pastors can be put together by E.T.I. to train not only the pastors but any lay persons that might be interested in evangelism. Many churches and ministries visit these countries on short term mission trips but that is a different aspect of evangelism and missions from the work that E.T.I. does in our evangelism leadership summits.
Pastors who attend these training sessions return to their home churches and ministries armed with the knowledge and the materials they need to train their staff and congregations. For many of these men it will be their very first exposure to a structured training environment and they walk away changed in many ways. They have exposure to evangelism training methods that are basic, simple, and proven. The materials handed out to these same men are many times the first time they will have received such materials such as paperback New Testaments, soul-winning materials, evangelistic tracts, and much more. One of the most valuable treasures they take away from our training sessions are relationships. Relationships not only with those of us here at E.T.I. but with their fellow countrymen who are much more in tune with the needs of the local church because they literally live in the middle of these areas.
Please don’t hesitate to contact any of us here at E.T.I. about setting up a training session to train your lay people and ministry personnel on sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with a dying world. We, all Christians, were charged with the responsibility of sharing God’s perfect message of Love with others and our ministry is ready and able to teach you how to effectively share the Gospel. Won’t you please pray and ask God how He can use you in our ministry?
