Donating To Our Ministry

Methods Of Donating To E.T.I.

It’s 11:30PM on a Tuesday night and I’m tired, it’s been a very long day. I started the day out early doing the work I do when I am not out on the Mission Field, its outside work in the hot Florida sun and I really need a shower. The sun makes the work twice as tiring and I must admit – I want to go to bed. Right now I just can’t sleep…at least not until I complete this so I can send it off to the person who manages my web site. It’s my prayer that God will fill your heart with compassion for the continent of Africa as He did mine when I first started this ministry called Evangelism Training International. I once read about a little boy who wasn’t afraid of monsters, dragons, or ghosts. You know the kind that hunkers down under a little boy’s bed or inside his closet. What frightened this little boy is much more terrifying-and it isn’t make-believe either. This little boy was once afraid of Arab slavers as they are called. In a story about this little boy who is now a grown man who goes by the name of Bok, author Stephen Brown in his article titled: Slavery in Islamist Sudan spoke of the atrocities committed by Bok’s Muslim captors: “The Arab militias were told to kill the men and enslave the women and children,” said the now 28-year-old Bok, who was himself captured and enslaved that day, to an audience of 80 people at the University of Toronto recently where he had been invited to speak. For many long years this Sudanese man was kept, and abused, by his Muslim slave owners. You might wonder how Bok managed to survive his life in captivity at the hands of his harsh master and Bok will be the first to tell you it was his faith in God. By now you are wondering just what the story of this young man from Sudan has to with our ministry. Please allow me a few more moments of your valuable time to explain. Well over a decade ago I was employed by a church local to where I live here in Central Florida and was happy with my position within the church. Or so I thought. Although I was teaching and evangelizing I noticed an empty feeling in my spirit. At times I dismissed this as fatigue but as time went on I realized it wasn’t something that was going to go away on its own. Prayer has been a part of my life since I became a Christian and so I took this feeling of emptiness to the Lord in prayer. Soon enough God gave me a vision to teach and preach to those on the continent of Africa, a calling I have followed and loved for many years now. My travels to Africa have given me an opportunity to not only share the love of Jesus with the inhabitants of this vast continent but also a challenge, and a joy, to teach African nationals our evangelism training techniques so they may in turn teach their fellow countrymen to witness to the many lost people of Africa. These trips we make between the United States and Africa are long and grueling and yet always fruitful. It’s one thing to see soul-winners who have gone out and led someone to the Lord for the first time. But it is especially rewarding to see the joy on the faces of the clergy and laypeople we train as they train their congregations, friends, and family alike. This pastors and lay people love the training we give them but they love teaching their own people even more. If I could paint any picture for you it would be that of these pastors with their deep dark skin and pearly white teeth showing from the smiles on the their faces as they train their own flocks. As I mentioned earlier, travel to and from Africa is tough and demanding, both physically and mentally. But there’s one more thing that travelling to Africa is – its costly. Without boring you with a lot of facts and figures allow me to just say that travel to and from Africa is the biggest expense in Evangelism Training International’s budget. You know, when it comes down to financing a ministry such as ours I have to be perfectly honest with you – it is hard to find faithful contributors to our ministry. Everyone in America is feeling the squeeze of the floundering economy – ministries like ours are especially feeling the crunch. But our work must go on – and it does thanks to people who give sacrificially to finance our work in Africa. I say “give sacrificially” because your ongoing gifts to ministries such as Evangelism Training International are to be done above your tithe to your local church. One should never give their tithe to any ministry other than their home church; gifts beyond your tithes are called sacrificial because you generally give up something from another part of your budget for ministries such as ours. Some Christians in Africa and elsewhere in the world live in fear of arrest for attending Christian worship services in their countries because of the oppressive Islamic influence within the governments of their countries. Beloved, ask yourself how faithful would your church attendance be if you could be arrested for just for attending worship services? The good people of Africa are so open to the Gospel of Jesus Christ that it makes my heart ache. Do you know that, unlike in the United States not only are we allowed to teach in public schools but are requested to do by the school administrators? What hinders us in our quest to train pastors, ministers, and laypersons about sharing the Gospel of Christ in Africa? Financial resources. Without the funds to travel to these countries in Africa then we are unable to fulfill our God-given calling. The all-inclusive training we provide through our ministry cannot be completed via mail outs, email, or even Internet video streaming. We must be in the same location (room/hall/building) as the trainees so that we can conduct true hands-on training of the African nationals. In turn these people return to their hometowns and begin to train those in their ministries. But again, without the funds to permit us to travel the training sessions won’t take place. I urge you to prayerfully consider making a tax deductible gift of ($25, $35, $50, $100, or more if at all possible to Evangelism Training International so that we may continue our work in Africa. Even a gift as small as $15 from you right now would be a great help to our ministry and any gift we receive will be greatly appreciated. Whatever contribution you can send, please send it today. For all you do, the prayers, the encouragement, and especially the financial gifts please know that you have my heartfelt thanks. Thank you and God bless you!
Donations Obviously you know that an organization like Evangelism Training International exists solely off of charitable givers such as yourself. Although our ministry is run in a fashion similar to a business we are not able to generate income on the training that we offer. We have a Board of Directors that oversees our operations regarding the business and administration aspect of our ministry. These dedicated folks are business owners, deacons, pastors, and other individuals who offer their services to our ministry. We are a Florida based and authorized 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit organization which means you can be sure that all of your donations are tax deductible according to the Internal Revenue Service. Donations are sought for various mission trips that God leads us to, please see the links under the “PROJECTS” tab at the top of your screen. Each of these trips has different requirements regarding the financing of the trips that our leadership team takes overseas. Of course the bulk of donations that we are in need of are of the monetary nature because it takes money to purchase plane tickets, for food and lodging, printing and shipping services, and even some local transportation needs. Everyone is clamoring for money in these very tough economic times, even the Federal government wants more money. But there are other ways in which you can help us realize the goals that God has set forth for this year. There are various other needs which you may be able to help our ministry such as printing services, New Testaments for our trainees, gifts cards for stores like Wal-Mart or even restaurants, and so forth. We invite you to contact us via email, phone, or regular mail service if there is something you wish to donate to our ministry. Donate Online

It’s true, the program is called matching gifts which most of you have heard of before. For those of you who have not heard of matching gifts before it is a program where a company or organization matches dollar-for-dollar the donation that you make to Evangelism Training International. Many times a person’s employer will be willing to participate in a matching gifts program because they also receive a form from our ministry for their tax deductible donation. Using the matching gifts system donors such as yourself can double or possibly triple your donation to our ministry depending upon the method the company uses to match your donation. Some companies, the majority of them, will match your donation dollar-for-dollar. You give $100, they will give $100. There are some very charitable businesses who actually double the donation that you make, it is rare but there are some out there that will donate $2 for every $1 you give to our ministry. Some companies will make a donation in cash to match hours that you, as an employee, do as volunteer work. Say you volunteer at a nursing home or Meals On Wheels then your company will donate a certain amount of money to our ministry for the time and effort that you spend on your volunteer work. While we are on the subject of matching gifts this would be a good time to ask you if the company you work for would be interested in participating in a matching gifts program with Evangelism Training International. Perhaps you might be the owner or manager of a company and would like further information about participating in matching gift program with our ministry. If so, please use this address or phone number listed below to contact us to request our Matching Gifts Program form. Evangelism Training International P.O.
